The County has a comprehensive plan, a zoning and a subdivision ordinance. Warm Springs is the County Seat. There are no incorporated towns within the County.

Bath County is located in the Allegheny Mountains in west-central Virginia. The County is known for its natural beauty and its unique way of life associated with an abundance of warm natural springs. The County’s economy is primarily tourist-oriented; however, there are a plethora of small businesses that create the foundation for a quaint, but effective business community. Over half of the County’s population live and work in Bath County.

Bath County is accessible from Interstate 81 and Interstate 64 via U.S. Route 220 and/or Route 39. Ingalls Field Airport offers General Aviation Services and CSX Transportation is only 30 minutes away in the town of Clifton Forge.
